Increasing Text Size

The procedure for changing text size differs from one browser to the next. The following guidelines may be useful:

In general, look under the "View" option on the browser menu. You should find a sub-option called "Text Zoom", "Text Magnification", "Text Size" or "Font Size". From that point it should be relatively straighforward to find and select an additional sub menu option that adjusts text size.

Skip Navigation

Each page on the site conatins a 'Skip Navigation' link. By clicking on this link, you will go straight to the main heading on the page and avoid the links and graphic banner that appear on every page. This is especially useful for those using Screen Readers.

Tabs and Return

In order to select a link you first have to ensure that it 'has focus'. You do this by using the 'Tab' key. When you press the key, you will notice that a link on the page is surrounded by a faint dotted rectangle. This means that it 'has focus'. If you press the 'Tab' key again, the focus will change to the next link.

Once the link that you wish to select 'has focus' press the 'Enter' key to move to the linked page or section of page. If you continue to press the 'Tab' key, you will move through or 'cycle through' all the links until you reach the end of the page at which point you will return to the beginning again.

If you happen to 'cycle past' the link that you wanted to select, by holding down the 'Shift' key and then pressing 'Tab' you will move the focus back to the previous link.
